IFS Audiovisual supplies complete sound technology for congresses, events, funerals and parties, for both local and international clients. Our technicians think ahead about the best sound setup for the space and the program, and ensure reliable execution on location.
Sound technology tailored to your needs
Depending on the venue and the type of event, we deploy the right combination of equipment. We work with professional speakers, amplifiers, audio mixers and microphones, including wireless microphones and Catchboxes for audience sessions. With Dante we provide a stable and flexible audio network, also in more complex setups with several rooms or locations.
Vocals, band and intercom
For events with artists or bands we provide complete band amplification and monitoring. Speakers are supported with speech installations tailored to the acoustics of the space. Through intercom systems our technicians maintain direct contact with each other during the event.
Discussion systems, interpreter translation and hearing loops
For meetings, debates and international congresses we supply discussion systems that allow participants to take the floor with ease. Interpreter translation and hearing loops ensure that non-native speakers and hearing-impaired participants can fully participate. All sessions can be recorded via audio recording and broadcast live via streaming.
Microfoonkiezer
01
Microfoon
Headset, dasspeld, handheld, katheder of Catchbox.
Eén fragment, opgenomen in onze studio.

Our adviceHeadset
Presentation on stage
Hands free and always the same distance from the mouth. The volume stays even, also when the speaker moves around or turns towards the screen.
Technician's tipDoes a headset not suit the look? Then a lavalier microphone. It needs more attention from the technician, because the distance to the mouth is greater.
Our adviceHeadset or gooseneck microphone per panellist
Panel discussion
Every panellist gets their own microphone and their own channel. The technician only opens whoever is speaking, so less reverb and no feedback when everyone talks at once.
Technician's tipGive the moderator a wireless handheld. That way the audience can see straight away who is leading the conversation.
The microphone goes to the person asking the question. That way not only the room hears the question, but also the livestream, the recording and the interpreters.
Technician's tipWith a large audience a Catchbox works well: you simply throw it to the next person with a question.
Every participant has a table microphone with a talk button. The chair keeps track of who has the floor, and the system can be linked to interpreting and recording.
Technician's tipChoose a system with a chair button. It lets the chair switch off all microphones at once.
Sound is a chain. We take care of every link, from the microphone on stage to the viewer at home watching the livestream.
01
Microphone
Headset, lavalier, handheld, lectern or Catchbox. The choice depends on the speaker, the programme and the look.
02
Wireless
Every transmitter gets its own frequency. Beforehand we carry out an extensive frequency check on location, to make sure those frequencies really are free. Where needed we install an antenna booster, so the signal is strong enough everywhere, even in large or difficult spaces. And every battery goes into the room fully charged. That way you avoid interference and dropouts in the middle of a sentence.
03
Mixing desk and network
A technician mixes live: balancing voices, preventing feedback, getting the next speaker ready. Via Dante the sound runs digitally through the building, including to other rooms.
Every type of loudspeaker has its own characteristics. A DJ needs punch and a solid low end, a church with lots of reverb needs loudspeakers that aim the sound at the audience, so words do not get lost in the echo. We choose the type, placement and tuning to suit the room and the programme, so it is not too loud in the front row and not too quiet in the back row.
One clip, recorded in our studio. First as it often sounds, then as it sounds when the microphone, the settings and the mix are right. Switch while listening and hear the difference.

A day with IFS
What you do not see, but do hear.
A good event starts long before the first guest arrives. We have already visited the venue beforehand. This is what the day itself looks like.

NowSetup
Setup
Loudspeakers, mixing desk and microphones go into place. We tidy cables away neatly, so nobody trips over them.
Frequency check
A scan of the wireless frequencies at the venue itself. Where needed we install an antenna booster, and every transmitter gets fully charged batteries.
Soundcheck and rehearsal
Speakers test their microphone and run through the programme. That way everyone knows what happens, including at the changeovers.
Live
The technician mixes along, gets the transmitters of the next speakers ready and keeps spare microphones within reach.
Breakdown
Everything goes back into the cases just as carefully. You get the room back empty and tidy.
Frequently asked questions
What does sound technology for an event cost?
That depends on the number of speakers and microphones, the size of the room, the length of the programme and the number of technicians. After a short briefing you receive a tailored proposal that sets out exactly what will be supplied.
What do we need to arrange ourselves at the venue?
Very little. We agree set-up time, power and the position of the control desk directly with the venue. For larger events we visit beforehand, so there are no surprises on the day itself.
Can you connect to the venue's fixed installation?
Often, yes. We check in advance what is available in the room and whether it suits your programme. Sometimes adding to it is enough, sometimes our own setup is more reliable.
What happens if a wireless microphone fails?
Then a spare is ready. The frequencies of all transmitters are planned and tested in advance, and the technician at the mixing desk switches straight away, usually without the audience noticing.
Do you also cater for the hard of hearing and interpreters?
Yes. We supply hearing loops and Auracast for the hard of hearing, and interpreting technology for multilingual events. We connect these to the same mix, so everyone hears the same thing.
