A respectful farewell!

Audiovisual support for funerals

Technology that supports without distraction

A farewell requires calm, reliability and technology that works without effort. During a funeral, the focus should not be on microphones, screens or starting a livestream. Everything needs to function seamlessly, without distraction.

Each location has its own requirements for audiovisual support. In a funeral home or crematorium, a basic setup is often available, while in a church, condolence venue or external location, additional equipment may be needed to ensure everything is clearly heard and seen. That is why we always assess the practical situation on site, so that the technology, setup and support match the character of the ceremony and the number of attendees.

With carefully selected audiovisual solutions, we provide clear sound, respectful visual presentation and stable livestreams for those who cannot be present. Recording the ceremony is also possible, allowing it to be viewed later or shared with others.

We can also take care of the preparation and presentation of visual content, ensuring everything is aligned both technically and in content. All of this is supported by calm and experienced on-site guidance, with attention to the moment and the people involved.

FAQ

What equipment is used at a funeral service?

The foundation is sound, so that speakers are clearly audible throughout the room and music plays at the right moment and at a fitting volume. Visuals are frequently added as well, such as a photo presentation, a memorial film, or a video message from someone unable to attend. A livestream and a recording are also common requests, allowing family and friends at a distance to watch live or to see the service again later. The technology deliberately stays in the background: equipment is placed as discreetly as possible and the technician works quietly and unobtrusively.

How does a livestream of a funeral work?

One or more cameras capture the service, and the video and audio are broadcast directly via a private web page or stream link. The family or funeral director shares that link with invited guests, and it can be password protected so that only those concerned can watch. Audio is taken straight from the sound system, so speakers and music are as easy to follow at home as in the room. The broadcast usually remains available for a period afterwards, which helps relatives in another time zone.

Can the service be recorded and received later?

Yes, a recording with sound and vision can be made of almost any service, even when there is no live broadcast. The recording is delivered afterwards as a download or on physical media, usually within a few working days. It can cover the full service or only selected parts, for example excluding the condolences. Because these are personal images, it is agreed in advance who receives the recording and how long it is kept.

What happens if the venue has no equipment of its own?

A complete mobile set is then brought in and rigged beforehand, which is a regular occurrence in churches, village halls, farms, outdoor locations and private spaces. The main requirements are a power supply and access to the room well before the service, so everything can be placed and tested calmly before the first guests arrive. A livestream also needs an internet connection; where none is available or reliable on site, a mobile connection is used. Equipment is positioned so that sightlines stay clear and the setup does not dominate the room.

How does preparation work, and what is asked of the family?

Contact usually runs through the funeral director, who provides the order of service and timings, after which the technical setup is matched to it. What is needed from the family is mainly the material: the chosen music in the right versions, photographs for a presentation and any video, preferably supplied a day in advance. Everything is tested before the service, including microphones for speakers unused to addressing an audience, so that nothing has to be arranged during the ceremony itself. The family does not have to operate anything; the technician follows the order of service and responds to what happens in the room.
