During an international ICMP conference at Museum Sophiahof, IFS Audiovisueel provided the complete technical production. From interpretation technology and hybrid streaming to video recording and photography — every detail worked together seamlessly.

An International Event Where Technology Connects People
On June 19, IFS Audiovisueel provided full audiovisual support for a special event by the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) at Museum Sophiahof in The Hague.
ICMP is an international organization that works to locate and identify missing persons, often in the context of conflicts or disasters. During this conference, participants discussed collaboration, truth-seeking, and the importance of international solidarity in times of war.
The event brought together participants from several countries, both in person and online. English and Ukrainian were the working languages, which required a well-coordinated hybrid setup where interpretation, streaming and video production all came together flawlessly.
A Familiar Venue with a Fresh Challenge
Museum Sophiahof is a location we know well. As themain audiovisual supplier for the venue, we’re familiar with its infrastructureand possibilities, which gave us a head start.
Beforehand, we created 3D visualizations of the roomlayout and camera positions. This allowed the ICMP team to see exactly how thesetup would look during the event.
Interpretation Technology: Clear Sound for Everyone
ICMP provided their own interpreters, while we handledall the technical aspects. A standard interpreter booth was set up, connectedto an infrared system with one hundred wireless receivers and headphones forthe audience.
The challenge lay in the hybrid setup. Online speakersalso needed to hear the interpretation and have their own contributionstranslated back to the audience in the room. By using Dante audio, digitalmixing consoles, and two separate streaming lines in English and Ukrainian, thecommunication remained perfectly synchronized throughout.

Hybrid Control with PTZ Cameras, Zoom and YouTube
From the control room, we operated three PTZ camerasfor a multi-camera livestream. I served as both project leader and livedirector, responsible for camera control, switching between speakers, andmanaging the livestreams.
The event was broadcast in two languages via theclient’s YouTube channels and simultaneously streamed on Zoom for remoteparticipants. Audio and visuals were mixed live, while presentation content wascoordinated with the speakers on site.

Video Recording, Photography and Aftermovie
In addition to the livestream, we managed the fullvideo recording. A second cameraman captured dynamic shots for the aftermovie, and our photographer documented the atmosphere and interactions for theofficial photo report.
After the event, all footage was edited into a shorthighlight video that summarized the afternoon perfectly.

Strong Collaboration Between ICMP, Museum Sophiahof and IFS
The collaboration between ICMP, Museum Sophiahof andIFS was smooth and professional. Thanks to our knowledge of the venue andthorough preparation, we were able to coordinate all technical aspectsseamlessly.
The result was a successful bilingual hybrid eventwhere technology, content and collaboration came together in one clear story.
