HYBRID & ONLINE EVENTS

Our remote interpreting platform brings professional interpreters and technology directly to your digital or hybrid meeting. Participants join through a secure environment and access simultaneous or consecutive interpretation without any need for physical presence. Ideal for international conferences, court hearings or online events.

Whether you need two languages or twenty, we make sure every participant can follow the message in their own language. Flexible connections with our platform let multiple languages run simultaneously. Certified interpreters combined with the right technology guarantee smooth communication without language barriers.

Events with speakers or audiences across multiple locations run seamlessly with our multi-location integration. We connect courtrooms, conference halls or meeting venues worldwide, ensuring consistent audio and video quality. Every participant feels part of the same event, no matter where they are.

Clear audio, sharp video and a stable connection are the foundation of a professional online or hybrid event. We combine high-quality streaming with experienced event management. From technology and direction to speaker and participant support, everything is designed to make your event run flawlessly.
At a hybrid event, part of the audience is in the room while another part follows the programme online. Hybrid interpretation means both groups get the same language options: in-room attendees through receivers with earphones, online participants through a language channel in the platform or stream player. Behind the scenes, a single set of interpretation channels is created and distributed to both the venue system and the stream. Questions from the online audience also need to be audible in the room and to the interpreters, so that interpretation keeps working in both directions.
That depends on the platform in use. Many meeting platforms have a built-in interpretation feature where participants pick a language from a menu; professional livestreams more often use multiple audio tracks in the player, or separate stream links per language. A third option is a web application in which participants open their own language channel alongside the video — useful when the platform itself does not support multilingual audio. It is important to establish in advance how many languages the chosen platform can actually handle, as this varies considerably.
Yes — this is known as remote interpreting: the interpreter works from home, a studio or an interpreting hub, receiving video and audio from the venue. The requirements are a stable, low-latency connection, a clear view of the speaker and the presentation, and a quiet working environment; these conditions are set out in ISO 24019. Working from a hub or studio is generally more reliable than from home, because professional equipment and a backup connection are in place. For high-profile conferences, interpreters on site in a booth are often preferred, with remote interpreters added for extra languages.
Beyond the usual sound and video equipment, additional signal paths are required: a clean mix from the room to the interpreters and the stream, and a return path so online speakers and questioners can be heard in the room. To prevent feedback and echo, mix-minus signals are used, where each participant hears everything except their own audio. Camera work and vision mixing also need to serve both the room and the online viewer, including the presentation on screen. A technician monitoring channels, levels and connections during the session is almost always necessary for hybrid formats.
The most common problems are lip-sync delay between video and audio, echo caused by a participant listening without headphones, and a platform that does not support the required number of languages. It is also frequently overlooked that interpreters must be able to hear the online audience; without a return feed, interpretation stops as soon as a question comes in remotely. An unstable internet connection on site is a further risk, best mitigated with a fixed line plus a mobile backup. A full technical rehearsal with speakers, platform and interpreters removes nearly all of these issues in advance.
